What kind of material is TPU foam material?

The volume of the particle material will expand 5-8 times after foaming, but the cell diameter is only about 30 microns to 300 microns. The size and shape are the same as popcorn, and the density of 0.15-0.25 grams per cubic centimeter makes people hardly feel its weight, so it is called "popcorn" vividly by the industry, which overcomes the shortcomings of TPU raw materials such as heavy weight, high hardness, and poor shock absorption performance. At the same time, it is lighter in weight, more breathable, environmentally friendly, wear-resistant, high-elastic, and yellowing resistant and it’s an insole material of internationally renowned sports shoes.

The technology is relatively simple and the threshold of equipment is low. But E-TPU prices have remained high because of many factors such as the need to choose polyether type for raw materials, the need for explosion-proof equipment, and high scrap rate of materials.
The application of E-TPU is mainly used in shoe materials, runway filling, etc. E-TPU beads with different diameters and multiple diameters can be foamed according to needs.
